MAD SHARK
3-Year Warranty
Printed on the gift boxes, honored by the brand: three years against manufacturing defects, no registration card required.
The Promise
Every product in the MAD SHARK range is backed by a 3-year warranty against defects in materials and workmanship, counted from your delivery date. There is no card to mail in and no registration portal — your retail order confirmation is the whole paperwork.
What It Covers
- Blade flaws from manufacture: cracks, chips or corrosion appearing under normal kitchen use and care.
- Handle failures: rivets working loose, scales separating from the tang, seams opening.
- Mechanical parts doing less than promised — a shear spring that quits, a safety lock that stops locking, a peeler blade that seizes.
- Finish defects present out of the box.
What It Does Not
- Normal edge dulling — that is maintenance, not defect. Honing is a one-minute fix and the FAQ shows how.
- Dishwasher damage on knives. Hand-wash is the stated care for the blades; the dishwasher-safe exceptions (like the shears) say so on their product page.
- Chips from bones, frozen food or glass boards on knives not built for that job — a chef knife is not a cleaver, and we sell cleavers precisely so it never has to be.
- Rust from being left wet or stored damp, cosmetic wear, sharpening done so aggressively the geometry is gone, and anything modified or used outside a kitchen.
Making a Claim
Email support@madshark.net with three things: your order confirmation, two or three photos of the problem, and one line on how the piece was being used and washed. A human who knows the products reads it — expect a real answer within two business days, not a ticket number. Valid claims are resolved with a replacement of the same item, or the closest current equivalent if the line has moved on.
Why Three Years Is Not Marketing
A warranty is priced honesty: a brand that expects handles to loosen in month seven cannot afford to promise month thirty-six. Ours can, because the failure points a warranty exists for — rivets, tang, spring steel — are exactly the places we overbuild. Most claims we see are actually care questions in disguise, and we answer those too, warranty or not.
