The Standard

We build to WCAG 2.1 AA and treat failures as bugs with a queue position. Our house test is concrete: flour on one hand, phone in the other, comparing two knives mid-recipe — if a page cannot be used like that, it is not finished.

What That Means on a Black-and-Gold Site

• A dark theme is an accessibility hazard done lazily, so ours is not done lazily: gold-on-black and white-on-black text throughout is checked against AA contrast, including the small print.
• Spec plates and comparison tables are real HTML tables — screen readers get rows and headers, not a picture of numbers.
• Every product photo carries descriptive alt text; star ratings are accompanied by the figure in plain digits.
• The whole site works from a keyboard alone, in an order that makes sense, with visible focus.
• Nothing blinks, autoplays, or moves the page under your finger.

Honestly, Forever Unfinished

Every new product page re-runs the same checks, and every audit still finds something. That is the nature of the work; claiming a permanently accessible site would be the same kind of fiction as claiming a permanently sharp knife.
